Ben Piper
Senior Counsel
Ben provides legal advice to Foresite Labs on a variety of corporate and transactional subjects.
Ben has experience representing companies in the life science and biotech industries from formation through exit. He has experience advising on transactions of all varieties, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity financings, convertible debt deals, and spin-outs. He has also worked with biotech companies on day-to-day transactions and commercial contracts, working closely with researchers in a variety of scientific fields, and has experience with SEC reporting requirements.
Previously, Ben was an associate in the Life Sciences group at the Boston office of Goodwin and served as in-house counsel for BlueRock Therapeutics, a cell and gene therapy company that was acquired by Bayer AG. He also worked in the Corporate Secretary group at Credit Suisse in New York, advising on a number of corporate governance and regulatory matters. Ben graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in philosophy, and he earned his J.D. summa cum laude from Boston College Law School.
