Mike Lai, MD

Michael Lai is a venture partner at Foresite Labs. In this role, Mike focuses on launching and building incubated companies within Foresite Labs, while also supporting the work of Foresite Capital.

Mike brings nearly 20 years of global commercial and clinical experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including at AstraZeneca and Sanofi. Most recently at AstraZeneca, he served as Global Franchise Head for the Lung Cancer Franchise / Datroway and General Manager for China, where he led the global commercial launch of Datroway and led a China business exceeding $4 billion – establishing AstraZeneca as one of the leading biopharmaceutical companies in the region. Earlier in his career, he served as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
