Carissa Heath Finkle, PhD

Carissa manages technical services for Foresite Labs’ portfolio companies and supports the Platform & Discovery team’s product development and delivery.

Before joining Foresite Labs, Carissa was a project manager on the Clinical Science team at Tempus Labs where she focused on improving and updating the workflow for reporting genetic results and therapy options for oncology patients. Prior to Tempus, she was an Entrepreneurial Fellow with the Chicago Biomedical Consortium contributing to small molecule and biologics drug discovery projects at Northwestern University. Carissa performed her thesis work at Northwestern, where she established the mouse model system in the Wignall lab to study molecular mechanisms of oocyte meiosis. She holds a Ph.D. in biology from Northwestern University, and a B.S. in molecular, cell, and developmental biology from University of California, Los Angeles.
