Dongnhu Truong, PhD

Associate Director, Statistical and Translational Genomics

Nhu leverages large scale clinical, molecular, and biological datasets to facilitate therapeutic target discovery and translate insights that support new and early ventures.

Nhu joined Foresite Labs after spending four years at Johnson & Johnson, first as a Principal Scientist in Disease Genetics and later as an Associate Director in Neuroscience Data Science & Digital Health. At Johnson & Johnson, Nhu analyzed population scale clinical, genetic, and biological datasets to support novel target identification, predict target-associated liabilities, and precision medicine strategies for the Neuroscience and Immunology therapeutic areas. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Nhu completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Statistical Genetics at Yale School of Medicine and then joined as an Associate Research Scientist. There, she led research integrating genetic, Hi-C, epigenetic, and neuroimaging data to investigate biological mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring learning disabilities.

Nhu earned her Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut.

  • PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Connecticut, Postdoctoral Fellowship in Statistical Genetics at Yale School of Medicine.
  • Cross disciplinary, translational, scientist with 10+ years research experience, 4+ years in pharmaceutical R&D.
