Liang Chang, PhD

Liang is an operating partner at Foresite Labs, focusing on building companies at the intersection of AI and biotech.

Before joining Foresite Labs, Liang pioneered AI agents and workflows at Aditum Bio, expanding the team’s capacity. An early adopter of agentic AI in biotech, he writes Liang’s AIxBIO Foundry, a personal blog that has built a broad readership across the biopharma and AI industries. At Aditum, he was also a member of the investment team and a founding team member of three new therapeutic company builds. Earlier in his career, he worked at Cure Ventures, 5AM Ventures, and Flagship Pioneering.

Liang received his Ph.D. in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University and his B.A. in Biology with honors from Macalester College. His doctoral research at the Broad Institute characterized conditional pathway activation as a new class of cancer synthetic lethality, which became the scientific foundation for Delphia Therapeutics.
