Yijun Li, PhD

Scientist, Statistical and Translational Genomics

Yijun performs computational genomic research at Foresite Labs to discover and prioritize therapeutic targets for emerging ventures.

Prior to joining the Foresite Labs, Yijun completed her postdoctoral research at Harvard, where she integrated multi-omics data —encompassing genetics, DNA methylation, proteomics, and metabolomics—from large biobanks and cohorts to understand the biological mechanisms underlying complex diseases. Her research has led to multiple co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Communications. Additionally, Yijun contributed her scientific expertise to the Incubator program at Harvard Biotech Club, supporting the early development of a biotech platform start-up.

Yijun received a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins University. During her time there, she conducted molecular epidemiology studies within a nationwide consortium of pediatric cohorts and engaged in pharmacogenetics research on psychiatric disorders.
