Carmen Chan, PhD

Senior Scientist

Carmen executes proof-of-concept experiments to generate evidence to support therapeutic hypothesis and new/early ventures.

Prior to joining Foresite Labs, Carmen was a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Dr. Vlad Denic at Harvard investigating novel protein degradation pathways. She completed her PhD training in the lab of Dr. Dan Fletcher at UC-Berkeley, where she dissected the molecular pathway of cell fusion. Before her graduate work, she received her B.S. in Chemical-Biological Engineering from MIT, where she developed biomaterials for vocal repair in the Lab of Dr. Bob Langer.
